Michael Vamosy is an experienced director, creative director, and creative executive. Coming from a history in both the ad agency and network sides… He has fulfilled many roles and responsibilities on set as he worked with the world’s best talent in front of and behind the camera.

Michael has also managed to step into and out of the ring on his own two feet with Mike Tyson…not too many people can say that.

His attention to detail and his approach for shoots is wildly creative, imaginative, original, and detail oriented. Michael strives to manage client and production expectations throughout a very collaborative process. He builds unique and sophisticated production paradigms that deliver stunning results on time and on budget.

He started directing while leading the design team at FX. He would constantly ask top-level directors and DPs like Janusz Kaminski and Andrzej Sekuła to reframe their shots and hold slightly repositioned talent for a longer periods of time…all so the footage could be used as the photographic and graphic cornerstone of FX’s original series packaging. Eventually, the head of FX Marketing said “Get him his own camera unit to go shoot the graphics elements while we shoot the promos.” This led to the creation of visually inspiring and metaphoric storytelling through graphic tease-like promotions. Still very much the strong, visual storytelling that is the FX approach to this day.
